Happy Canada Day AND Fourth of July!

Cosplay #1: Anya Stroud (Gears of War 3) I keep changing my mind if this is really what I want to do. I feel like I have to do it right, if I'm going to do it. In the past week, I've found some really cool things for the costume - so I'm 100% sure I'm doing this now! I'm going to wear this to the Gears of War 3 midnight release in NY and to PAX East 2012.
I've decided that I'm going to do her advertisement pic, with half armor (a little more budget friendly). I have a lancer, but I don't know if I'm going to even try to bring it to PAX though - last year, security was really tough on them.
I just bought the coolest items for the cosplay. I found some metal replica cog tags from Game Craze for $8! Such a great price. I also found a Gears of War utility belt at FYE. Now, it has Gears of War written on it, but I think that kind of adds to the cosplay. It's really wide, with lots of buckles and pockets (perfect for business cards :P).
I still need to find a wig, cargo pants, shin gaurds, and the tank top. If anyone knows any good websites for wigs (on less than $100 budget) please send! I might just use my old hockey shin guards for the armor and recover them with something a little more armor looking. I will keep you updated if I try anything tutorial worthy.
Cosplay #2: (New) Lara Croft
I am so excited to do this one. I plan on wearing it to PAX East 2012. I've already started growing my hair for it. Hopefully, I can get it long by this time or else I'll have to buy some extensions.
I already have the boots for the costume, and plan on using the same cargo pants and utility belt I wear for Anya to save some money.
I was checking out some airsoft guns yesturday online - they actually have Tomb Raider ones! I'm worried about getting into PAX, but they have orange tips so I should be fine. I still need to get the tank top, guns, and blood. Lots and lots of blood (And dirt).
Remember to send me a question for Ask LadySnip3r on nerd vice and have a great long weekend!
As always,
LadySnip3r

I know that the rules at PAX say that any prop that you bring in to the convention hall must never have, or have had, the ability to shoot, slice/dice, etc. So good luck with the weapons... in that case though, the Lancer... if it is Tyler's... should be okay to bring.
BTW... I still have to get my stuff together for Prescott... but that should still be a go for East as long as my break lines up again like it did last year. :)
I'd love to see you try the new Lara - being the fangirl for the series I am. I was just looking on Etsy ( for TR stickers! WOOT ) and noticed some really neat cosplay accessories for the costume.
